Hi, I'm Smixzie, an Australian independent artist with a love for music, poetry and finding inspiration in the little things in life. I've always enjoyed expressing myself through words, and over the years, that love has grown into creating music that comes from the heart. I'm happy to share a little about myself, my inspirations and the journey behind my songs.

Growing up, I loved reading poetry and discovering how words could express feelings that were sometimes difficult to say aloud. Inspired by the poems I read, I began writing my own in my diary, filling its pages with thoughts, emotions and little moments from my life. As time went on, those words found their way into songwriting, giving me a way to turn my feelings and experiences into melodies and share a little piece of myself through music.

My music blends contemporary pop with expressive melodies and heartfelt lyrics. I draw inspiration from real-life experiences, everyday moments, passing thoughts and personal relationships, exploring themes of love, healing, resilience, self-discovery and hope. I hope my songs resonate with people in their own way, whether a lyric brings comfort, reminds them of a special memory or helps them put their own feelings into words.

Outside of music, I enjoy spending time with my family, gaming and getting creative with DIY projects. I particularly love experimenting with colours and blending different tones to create aesthetically pleasing lighting, playing around with shades and ambience until everything comes together just right.

At heart, I'm a country girl who loves the beauty of the world around me. From peaceful country scenery and golden sunsets to clear night skies filled with stars, I find something special in those quiet moments spent taking it all in. They remind me to slow down, appreciate the little things and stay connected to the world around me.

From the poetry I wrote in my childhood diary to the songs I create today, my journey has always been about expressing myself and connecting with others through words and music.
